Sustainably Yours - Mixed-Grain Formula For Balanced Performance

TL;DR: Sustainably Yours Mixed-Grain Formula is a plant-based cat litter made from corn and cassava, blending small and large grains for balanced clumping and reduced tracking. It's a hypoallergenic, low-dust, biodegradable pick for cat owners looking to move on from clay.

This mixed-grain formula pairs fine particles for fast clumping with larger granules that help cut down on tracking around the litter box. Odour control comes from the natural properties of corn and cassava — no added chemicals or fragrances.

If you've searched to buy cassava leaves online for pet-care use, note that this product is a cassava-based cat litter rather than an edible cassava product — it's built around the plant's natural clumping and absorbent qualities.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This litter suits cat owners who want a plant-based, low-dust alternative to clay — especially households with cats or people sensitive to dust and fragrance. The mixed-grain blend is a sensible middle ground if you're unsure whether you'd prefer fast-clumping fine grains or low-tracking larger grains.

It works in most standard, covered, and top-entry boxes, making it a practical everyday choice for single- and multi-cat homes across the GTA.

Which size should you choose?

Available in two sizes: pick the 13 lb bag for single-cat households or to trial the formula, and the 26 lb bag for multi-cat homes or longer stretches between top-ups. Whether you buy cassava online in the smaller trial bag or the larger multi-cat size, the formula is identical.

Feeding & use

Pour 2–3 inches of litter into a clean box. Scoop clumps daily and top up as needed; refresh the full box when the remaining litter no longer clumps cleanly.

Small amounts of soiled clumps can be flushed where local plumbing allows, or composted or discarded with household waste. If you're transitioning from clay, mix the new litter with your current one and gradually increase the ratio over 5–7 days so your cat adjusts to the new texture.
