Almo Nature - Plant Based Clumping Cat Litter

TL;DR: Almo Nature Plant Based Clumping Cat Litter is a hypoallergenic, cassava-based litter that forms firm clumps and controls odours without artificial fragrances. Available in 5 lb and 10 lb bags, it suits cat owners who want a biodegradable, low-dust option for sensitive adult cats.

Made from plant-derived cassava material, this litter forms firm clumps on contact and absorbs moisture quickly, making daily scooping straightforward. It's a practical pick for households moving away from clay-based litter.

What makes this cat litter different?

Unlike mineral-based options, this is a plant-based clumping formula designed to be hypoallergenic and dust-free. It relies on natural absorbency rather than added scents to manage odour, which appeals to owners of sensitive cats.

Feeding & use

Pour 2–3 inches of litter into a clean, dry litter box. Scoop clumps daily and top up as needed to maintain depth, then do a full change and box wash on your regular schedule.

For multi-cat homes, provide one box per cat plus one extra. Transition gradually by mixing this cassava-based litter with your current one over 5–7 days, and check local plumbing and municipal guidelines before flushing any clumps.
