Ashario Pets - "SafeRide Pro" Retractable Car Traction Belt - Green

TL;DR: The Ashario Pets "SafeRide Pro" Retractable Car Traction Belt in green is a harness-compatible vehicle restraint that limits your dog's movement during car rides. It's built for Canadian dog owners shopping seat belts for daily commutes and longer road trips.

Unsecured dogs can distract drivers and risk injury during sudden stops. The SafeRide Pro uses a retractable cord that gives your dog enough room to sit or lie down while preventing climbing into the front seat or lunging toward windows.

Key features

• Retractable cord allows controlled movement while keeping your dog in place
• Sturdy metal clip fastens to a harness D-ring, avoiding neck strain from collar attachment
• Bold green colour is easy to spot inside the cabin
• Auto-adjusting tension reduces jerking during turns and stops
• Suited to everyday commutes and longer road trips

Specifications

Who is it for?

This is for dog owners across Canada who want a simple, harness-compatible restraint for the car. If your dog tends to move around the back seat, climb between seats, or pull at a fixed-length tether, a retractable design offers more comfort without losing control.

Among seat belts for dogs, the retractable format suits pets who don't settle in one position for the whole drive.

Feeding & use

Clip the metal hook to the back of your dog's harness — never directly to a collar. Loop or buckle the other end into your vehicle's seat belt receiver so the cord retracts naturally as your dog shifts position.

For best results, pair it with a well-fitted harness such as the Ashario Pets - Lightweight Reflective Harness, and use a matching walking lead like the Ashario Pets - Reflective Comfort Dog Leash once you arrive at your destination.

Need a larger size?

If you have a bigger dog or want more cord length, the Ashario Pets - "SafeRide" Retractable Car Traction Belt - L is an alternative in the same range of seat belts at Ashario Pets. It's a natural seat belts plus upgrade for owners of larger breeds.
