Alpiste (Phalaris canariensis) is a cereal grain grown primarily in Canada's Prairie provinces. Modern glabrous varieties were developed specifically for food applications and are de-hulled prior to consumption.

With a mild, slightly nutty flavor, Alpiste can be used in both traditional and plant based recipes and is commonly incorporated into breads, cereals, snacks, and plant-based beverages.
