Purina - Pro Plan Large Breed Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice Dry Dog Food

TL;DR: Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice is a 50 lb bag of dry dog food made for large-breed adult dogs with sensitive digestion or itchy skin. Real salmon leads the recipe, paired with easily tolerated rice, plus nutrition that supports joint health.

This formula is built around two ideas: a single primary animal protein (salmon) and a gentle carbohydrate (rice). Together they give large-breed adults complete, balanced nutrition without a complicated ingredient list.

If you've been searching for a sensitive-stomach salmon recipe and want to buy salmon online, this is one of the more recognizable salmon-and-rice options we stock for large-breed dogs.

What makes this large-breed salmon formula different?

• Real salmon as the first ingredient — the primary protein source for skin and coat support.
• Rice-based carbohydrates chosen for dogs with sensitive digestion.
• Formulated specifically for large-breed adult dogs, with nutrition that supports joint and bone health.
• Includes omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to help maintain skin and coat condition.
• Complete and balanced for adult maintenance, packaged in a 50 lb bag.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This food is intended for adult dogs of large-breed size (typically 50 lb / 23 kg and up at maturity) whose owners have noticed signs of sensitive digestion, dull coats, or itchy skin. The salmon-and-rice combination offers an alternative to chicken- or beef-based diets for dogs that do better on a different primary protein.

It is not intended for puppies or small-breed adults — those life stages have different calorie and kibble-size requirements.

Feeding & use

Follow the feeding chart printed on the bag, which scales daily portions to your dog's adult weight and activity level. Transition gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts of the new food with your current food to help avoid digestive upset.

Store the bag sealed in a cool, dry place, and provide fresh water at all times. In this 50 lb format it makes a steady everyday meal for a multi-dog or big-dog household — a practical size when you want to buy salmon in bulk.
