A sculptural floor lamp that sets three fabric discs on a slim pine frame, filtering warm light through natural textures.

The PULSE floor lamp is built around three circular shades placed at different points on a pine wood frame. One is woven jute, the other two are white linen. Arranged that way they read less like a lamp and more like a mobile, an organic composition of discs held in the air, and the shape shifts as you move around it.

The two fabrics are what give the light its character. Linen is fine and pale, so it glows softly and evenly. Jute is coarser and more open, letting a little more light through the weave and warming it on the way. With all three lit the light comes through in layers, and the overlapping shades throw soft shadows onto the wall behind.

What kind of light does it give?

What are the exact dimensions?

What bulbs does it take, and are they included?

Three E26 bulbs, not included, so you can pick your own brightness and colour temperature. Max 15W LED each, and that's the LED rating, not the light output. A 15W LED puts out roughly the same light as a 100W incandescent, so three of them is plenty for a corner. For warm evening light look for 2700K.

Does it come assembled?

It ships flat and takes a few minutes. The frame goes together, then the three shades attach, then you add the bulbs. Instructions are in the box. At 1.8 kg it's light enough to build anywhere and carry to where it's going. No wiring involved, it plugs into a standard outlet.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with dimmable smart bulbs or a plug-in dimmer. There's no integrated LED or built-in dimmer, which means you're not locked into one system and can swap bulbs whenever you want.

How do I clean the jute and linen shades?

Dust them with a dry microfibre cloth, or the brush attachment on a vacuum set low. Both are natural fibres, so keep water off them. For a mark on the linen, dab with a barely damp cloth and let it air dry rather than scrubbing. The jute weave catches more dust, so a soft brush helps. No cleaning sprays.

Can it go on a covered porch or in a bathroom?

No, it's rated for dry locations only. Jute and linen don't get on with damp, so keep it indoors and away from bathrooms with a shower or tub.
