Pestell - Paw Thaw Ice Melter For Dogs

TL;DR: Pestell - Paw Thaw Ice Melter For Dogs is a pet-safe ice melt formulated to clear icy walkways while being gentler on dog paws than traditional rock salt. Available in 12 lb and 25 lb bags, it's a practical choice for Canadian winters in households with dogs.

Winter sidewalks and driveways can be hard on paw pads, and conventional ice melts often make the problem worse. Pestell Paw Thaw is designed to melt ice and snow while reducing the risk of paw irritation if your dog walks across treated surfaces.

What makes it different from regular ice melt?

• Pet-safe formulation designed to reduce paw pad irritation compared with traditional ice melts
• Melts ice and snow to improve footing on sidewalks, steps, and driveways
• Gentler on paws, skin, and coat if your dog walks over treated areas
• Applies like regular ice melt — simply spread across icy surfaces
• Available in two bag sizes: 12 lb and 25 lb

Specifications

Choose from the 12 lb bag for smaller walkways and balconies, or the 25 lb bag for driveways and longer paths.

Who is it for?

The Pestell - Paw Thaw Ice Melter For Dogs suits owners across the GTA who want safer winter footing without exposing their dog's paws to harsh chemical residues. It's a practical option for first-time dog owners heading into their first Canadian winter, or for anyone who wants a lower-irritation choice on their walkways and steps.

Feeding & use

This is a topical ice melt, not a consumable — do not feed it or allow your dog to ingest it. Spread Paw Thaw evenly across icy pathways, steps, porches, and other slippery outdoor surfaces, just as you would a conventional ice melt, and reapply as needed during heavy snow or freezing rain.

Even with a pet-safe formula, it's good practice to wipe your dog's paws after winter walks to remove any melt residue, road grit, or slush.
