Who is it for?

This senior orijen dog food suits older dogs that do well on a lean, protein-forward diet with added joint support. It's a strong fit for large-breed seniors and for homes feeding two or more aging dogs from a single 11.4 kg bag.

If your dog isn't a senior yet, Orijen - Original Adult Dry Dog Food covers adult maintenance, while Orijen - Fit & Trim Dry Dog Food is built for weight management. Households with a growing dog can look at Orijen - Puppy Dry Dog Food.

How much should you feed?

Follow the feeding chart printed on the bag, matching your dog's weight and activity level. When switching from another food, transition gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts of the new kibble into the old.

Senior dogs often need fewer calories than they did in adulthood, so portioning matters — particularly for less active dogs. Keep fresh water available at all times, and store the remaining kibble in a sealed container away from heat to preserve freshness.

Orijen senior dog food is a premium, protein-dense option, so a smaller measured portion may go further than you expect. Speak with your veterinarian before changing diets if your dog has specific dietary needs or an existing health condition.

Stocking orijen senior dog food 25 lb in the larger bag also keeps cost-per-kilogram lower for GTA households feeding a big senior dog year-round.
