Orijen - Original Dry Cat Food

TL;DR: Orijen Original Dry Cat Food is a grain-free dry food built on WholePrey ratios with chicken, herring, and turkey as its primary animal ingredients. It's made for cats whose owners want a meat-forward diet that supports lean muscle, skin, and coat condition. Available in 4 lb and 12 lb bags.

Cats are obligate carnivores, and this recipe reflects that by leading with animal protein rather than fillers. The WholePrey approach uses meat, organs, and cartilage in proportions that mirror a natural prey diet.

What makes Orijen original cat food different?

The formula centres on chicken, herring, and turkey as its core protein sources, with a grain-free recipe that keeps the carbohydrate load low. Taurine, an amino acid cats need from their diet, comes naturally from the animal ingredients rather than being added synthetically.
