Orijen - Fit & Trim Dry Cat Food

TL;DR: Orijen Fit & Trim Dry Cat Food is a grain-free, protein-led dry food made with chicken, fish, and turkey, formulated for weight management. It is built for cats that are less active or prone to putting on weight, and it is suitable for kittens as well as adults.

This Orijen cat food chicken recipe builds its protein around three animal ingredients — chicken, fish, and turkey — instead of grains. It is made in Canada by Orijen.

What makes Orijen Fit & Trim different?

The recipe combines chicken, fish, and turkey in a grain-free formula focused on weight management. The intent is a protein-forward profile that keeps cats satisfied on sensible portions.

Because it is formulated for kitten and adult life stages, it can stay in rotation as a kitten grows into adulthood rather than requiring a separate switch.

Specifications

Who is it for?

Orijen Fit and Trim cat food is intended for cats that are indoor or less active, prone to weight gain, or already carrying extra weight. The grain-free, protein-focused profile supports lean body condition while you manage portions.

It also works for multi-cat homes where one cat needs a lighter recipe and the others eat a standard adult formula.

How does it support a healthy weight?

The formula leans on animal protein from chicken, fish, and turkey rather than grain-based ingredients. Protein supports lean muscle, which matters when calorie intake is being reduced.

Weight management still depends on measured portions and activity — the food is one part of the plan, not a substitute for it.

Feeding & use

Follow the feeding guide printed on the bag and adjust portions to your cat's weight, age, and activity level. Weigh or measure meals rather than eyeballing them, since small overages add up quickly for a cat on a weight plan.

Transition from the current food gradually over 7–10 days, increasing the proportion of the new recipe each day. Keep fresh water available at all times.
