Okocat - Natural Wood Clumping Cat Litter

TL;DR: Okocat Natural Wood Clumping Cat Litter is a plant-based, clay-free litter made from reclaimed wood fibre that forms firm, scoopable clumps and is approximately 99% dust-free. It's built for cat owners who want strong odour control, low dust, and a lighter bag to carry than mined clay.

Instead of mined clay, this litter uses reclaimed wood fibre that absorbs liquid on contact and traps ammonia before odour develops. The result is a cleaner box, less tracking through the house, and a natural wood aroma with no added fragrance.

Who is it for?

Okocat Natural Wood Clumping Cat Litter suits cat owners who want a plant-based alternative to clay and a noticeably lower-dust litter box. It's a practical choice for multi-cat homes, households sensitive to dust and fragrance, and anyone tired of hauling heavy clay jugs.

If you're comparing options and looking for the safest cat litter format for your household in terms of dust and added fragrance, an unscented wood fibre litter is a sensible middle ground — plant-based materials with the firm clumping most owners expect.

How do you use wood clumping litter?

Fill a clean litter box with roughly 7–10 cm (3–4 inches) of litter. Scoop clumps and solids daily, top up as needed, and fully replace the litter on a regular schedule based on how many cats share the box.

Switching from clay? Mix Okocat with the existing litter for about a week, gradually increasing the Okocat ratio so your cat can adjust to the new texture and scent. Cats that hesitate at first usually settle once the box is entirely wood fibre.

How does it help with odour and tracking?

Wood fibre absorbs liquid on contact and locks ammonia into the clump rather than letting it build in the box. Because the granules are lightweight and low in dust, less litter rides out on paws and scatters across the floor.

If tracking is your main concern, compare this formula against a version engineered specifically to stay in the box before deciding which is the best non tracking odor control cat litter for your setup.
