NZPF Meow - Green Lipped Mussels Freeze Dried Cat Treats

TL;DR: NZPF Meow - Green Lipped Mussels Freeze Dried Cat Treats are single-ingredient freeze dried mussels for cats, made from New Zealand green lipped mussels with nothing else added. They suit cats of all life stages — especially senior cats — whose owners want a natural source of omega-3s, glucosamine, and chondroitin to support joint, skin, and coat health.

Green lipped mussels are one of the more nutrient-dense seafood options for cats, valued for naturally occurring glucosamine, chondroitin, and omega-3 fatty acids. Freeze-drying preserves those raw nutrients while creating a light, shelf-stable treat that needs no refrigeration.

Each piece is 100% green lipped mussel — no fillers, additives, or artificial preservatives. That makes it a clean option for cats with sensitivities, or for owners who prefer a minimal-ingredient topper.

How do you feed freeze dried mussels for cats?

Offer the mussels whole as a treat, or crumble them over your cat's regular food as a topper. Because they're freeze-dried, you can rehydrate a piece with a small amount of warm water to release the aroma — useful for tempting fussy eaters.

Start with one or two pieces to confirm your cat tolerates the new ingredient, then adjust based on your veterinarian's guidance on treats and supplementation. Most cats do well with a small daily serving alongside a complete and balanced diet.

How should they be stored?

Keep the pack sealed in a cool, dry spot. No refrigeration is required, which makes freeze-dried mussels convenient for travel, training, or keeping on the counter for daily topping.
