KONG - Whirlz Throw Dog Toy

TL;DR: The KONG Whirlz Throw Dog Toy is a winged, squeaker-free fetch toy that bounces and rolls unpredictably on land and floats on water. It's made for active medium-sized dogs who love to chase and retrieve, and for owners who want one toy that works on grass, sand, and in the water.

The winged silhouette is what sets this KONG throw toy apart from a standard ball. Instead of rolling in a straight line, it tumbles and veers, which keeps dogs locked onto the chase in the backyard or at the park.

It's built from durable, weather-resistant material for rugged outdoor play, and it floats — so pool, lake, and beach retrieval sessions are on the table. Raised textures and easy-grab wings make it simple for both you and your dog to pick up and throw again.

Specifications

Who is it for?

The KONG - Whirlz Throw Dog Toy suits medium-sized dogs who chase, fetch, and retrieve as their main form of exercise. It's a good fit for households that want a quieter alternative to squeaky toys, and for owners playing across grass, sand, and water.

As with any toy, supervise play, match the toy to your dog's chewing strength, and replace it if it shows significant wear.

How do you play with the KONG Whirlz?

Throw it like a flying disc or roll it along the ground — the wing shape tumbles in unexpected directions, so your dog gets a fresh challenge on every throw. For water play, toss it into a pool or shallow lake and let the floating design extend the game.

Rinse with mild soap and water after muddy or salty sessions, and inspect the wings periodically for cracks or chew damage.

What pairs well with it?

If you're stocking up on dog supplies, pair this KONG throw toy with the KONG - Whirlz Rope Dog Toy for tug-and-throw variety. Fetch-focused dogs may also like the disc-style KONG - Flyer Dog Toy, or the tougher KONG - Extreme Flyer Dog Toy for harder chewers.

Ashario Pets carries KONG fetch gear alongside the rest of our dog toy range — no need to hunt through a dog supplies warehouse to find the right size.
