KONG - Shakers Honkers Duck Dog Toy

TL;DR: The KONG Shakers Honkers Duck is a long-bodied plush dog toy with an internal rope skeleton and a low-tone duck-call squeaker that honks on every shake. It's built for medium to large dogs who love to shake, tug, and cuddle their toys.

The KONG Shakers Honkers Duck combines three play styles in one: a soft plush exterior for cuddling, an internal rope for tug sessions, and a duck-call squeaker that rewards every shake with a realistic honk. The long body shape is easy to grip and naturally encourages whip-and-shake play.

What makes this toy different?

Most plush dog toys rely on a standard high-pitched squeaker. The Shakers Honkers uses a low-tone squeaker tuned to sound like a duck, which often holds a dog's interest longer and feels closer to real prey-play. The rope skeleton running through the body adds structure for tug-of-war without turning the toy into a hard chew.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This toy suits medium to large dogs who enjoy a mix of squeaking, shaking, and tugging. It's a strong fit for dogs with a prey-drive play style — the ones who love to grab a toy by the middle and whip it side to side.

It's designed as a plush companion rather than a heavy chew toy, so it's best for gentle-to-moderate chewers under supervision.

Feeding & use

Use the KONG Shakers Honkers Duck for interactive play: fetch, gentle tug, and shake games. Rotate it with other toys to keep it novel, and inspect it regularly for damage.

Remove the toy if the outer fabric starts to tear to help prevent stuffing ingestion. Supervise play, especially with enthusiastic chewers.
