KONG - Rewards Zoolooz Lion Dog Toy

TL;DR: The KONG Rewards Zoolooz Lion is a treat-dispensing enrichment toy for medium dogs. Fill the internal cavity with kibble, treats or KONG Easy Treat paste, and your dog paws and rolls the lion to release rewards — turning snack time into slow, engaging play.

This lion-shaped puzzle toy taps into natural foraging behaviour. The novelty shape keeps things interesting while the fillable cavity rewards persistence, making it a practical pick for dogs who eat too fast or get bored between walks.

What makes this toy good for enrichment?

Unlike a passive chew, the Zoolooz Lion requires your dog to nudge, paw and roll the toy to dispense treats. That problem-solving element supports mental stimulation alongside physical play, which is why puzzle feeders are a staple in Toronto homes and apartments.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This toy suits medium-sized dogs who benefit from mental stimulation — fast eaters, dogs home alone during the workday, or high-energy breeds who need more than a walk to settle down. It is a good fit for owners looking to add variety at mealtime without switching food.

It is not designed for powerful or aggressive chewers. If your dog destroys rubber toys quickly, a heavier-duty KONG classic is a better match.

Feeding & use

Start easy: load loose kibble or small treats so rewards fall out with minimal effort. Once your dog understands the game, increase the challenge by packing the cavity tighter or smearing Easy Treat paste inside to extend play.

For a calmer mealtime, use the Lion in place of a bowl and let your dog work for their portion. Rinse with warm, soapy water between fills to keep it hygienic.
