Dexypaws - Textured Enrichment Licking Mat

TL;DR: The Dexypaws Textured Enrichment Licking Mat is a seafoam-coloured, BPA-free silicone mat that turns spreadable treats into a calm, focused activity. It suits dogs and cats who need slow feeding, stress relief, or a quiet distraction during grooming, crate time, or bath time.

Spread soft food across the textured surface and let your pet work at it. The repetitive licking motion gives dogs and cats a soothing task that supports a calmer state during stressful moments.

Because licking mats for cats and dogs slow the eating pace, they also work well for pets who bolt their food or need low-impact mental stimulation between meals.

Key features

• Textured surface — ridges and patterns hold spreadable treats and extend lick time.
• BPA-free silicone — non-toxic material that is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.
• Seafoam colour — a soft, neutral tone that blends into most home spaces.
• Versatile use — suited to enrichment, slow feeding, grooming distraction, and crate training.
• Works for all breeds — one of the more practical lick mats for dogs ideas, and equally useful for cats.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This mat is a good fit for dogs who eat too quickly, puppies learning to settle, anxious pets who need a calming task, and senior dogs who benefit from low-impact mental stimulation. Licking mats good for dogs are also easy for many cats to adopt, so households often rotate one mat between pets.

It is also helpful during vet visits, nail trims, bath time, and travel, where a familiar licking task can take the edge off a stressful moment.

How do you use a licking mat?

Spread a thin layer of soft food across the textured surface — options include plain yogurt, wet food, pumpkin purée, or xylitol-free peanut butter. Press it into the ridges so your pet has to work to get every bit.

For longer sessions, freeze the loaded mat for 30–60 minutes before serving. After use, rinse under warm water or place it on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Feeding & use

Use the Dexypaws Textured Enrichment Licking Mat as a supplement to regular meals, not a replacement. Always supervise your pet, and retire the mat if it becomes chewed or damaged.

If you are building a rotation, pair this with the Dexypaws - Dog Bone Enrichment Licking Mat, the Dexypaws - Heart Shaped Enrichment Licking Mat, or the Dexypaws - Dog Head Enrichment Licking Mat — rotating shapes and textures keeps enrichment time interesting.
