Dexypaws - Heart Shaped Enrichment Licking Mat

TL;DR: The Dexypaws Heart Shaped Enrichment Licking Mat is a food-grade silicone slow-feeding mat that turns wet food, yogurt, or peanut butter into a calming enrichment activity. Its textured surface encourages slow licking, which helps settle dogs during grooming, crate time, or quiet evenings at home.

Shaped like a heart, this mat pairs a playful silhouette with a textured licking surface, giving your pet a focused, low-stress way to enjoy spreadable treats. While designed with dogs in mind, it also works well as one of the more approachable licking mats for cats who enjoy wet food or lickable treats.

What makes this licking mat different?

The raised texture slows down eating, which supports digestion and helps pets settle into a calm, focused state. The heart shape is purely a design choice — but a charming one that looks at home on the kitchen floor or beside the crate.

Who is it for?

This mat suits pets who eat too quickly, get restless during baths or nail trims, or need a calming activity while their owner is on a call. It's also a reusable alternative to single-use chews for households looking to cut down on waste.

Because licking is a gentle, self-soothing behaviour, the mat can be a helpful introduction to enrichment for younger pets too, including licking mats for puppies learning to settle. As always, supervise closely with any new pet or chewer.

Feeding & use

Spread a thin layer of your pet's favourite soft food — wet food, plain yogurt, pumpkin purée, or dog-safe peanut butter — across the textured surface. Offer it on the floor, inside a crate, or pressed against a smooth wall using the back of the mat.

For longer-lasting enrichment and one of the simpler lick mats for dogs ideas, freeze the loaded mat for 30–60 minutes before serving. Rinse under warm water after each use — the food-grade silicone wipes clean easily and holds up to repeated use. Always supervise your pet during use and retire the mat if it becomes damaged.
