Who is it for?

This leash suits active dog owners who want their hands free while walking, running, or moving through a busy day. It's also a good match for pet parents who prefer the soft feel of cotton rope over nylon webbing and want an adjustable fit that works across body types.

It pairs well with a comfortable walking harness like the Dexypaws - No-Pull Lilac Dog Harness for even-pressure walks.

How do you use a hands-free dog leash?

Loop the leash around your waist or wear it crossbody, then adjust the length so your dog can walk comfortably at your side without excess slack. Clip the secure hardware to your dog's harness or collar ring before heading out.

For dogs still learning leash manners, many owners pair a hands-free rope leash with a bungee-style option for shock absorption, such as the Dexypaws - No Pull Bungee Leash with Handle. If you'd rather run with a dedicated handled option, the BuD'z - Running Dog Leash is another solid pick.

How do you care for a cotton rope leash?

Spot clean the cotton rope as needed and let it air dry fully before the next walk. Check the clip and stitching regularly, and replace the leash if you see fraying or hardware wear.
