Dexypaws - Dog Bone Enrichment Licking Mat

TL;DR: The Dexypaws Dog Bone Enrichment Licking Mat is a bone-shaped, BPA-free silicone mat that turns spreadable treats into a slow-lick activity. It suits dogs who need mental stimulation at mealtime, during grooming, or while home alone.

Are licking mats good for dogs? For most dogs, yes — repetitive licking is a naturally soothing behaviour, and a textured surface extends the session so your dog stays engaged longer. This Dexypaws mat is shaped like a dog bone and grips wet food, yogurt, or peanut butter so your pup licks slowly instead of gulping.

What makes this licking mat different?

The bone silhouette isn't just decorative — the textured surface gives spreadables somewhere to cling, drawing out the licking session. A non-slip base keeps the mat steady on the floor or inside a crate so your dog focuses on the food, not on chasing the mat across the room.

Who is it for?

This mat suits dogs of most sizes who eat too quickly, get anxious during thunderstorms or car rides, or need something to do while you're busy. It's also useful for distracting dogs during nail trims, brushing, or bath time.

What are the benefits of a licking mat?

Among the lick mats for dogs benefits, slowing down fast eaters and giving anxious dogs a calming, repetitive task are the most common reasons owners reach for one. Because the mat supports gentle mealtime enrichment, it's an easy way to add mental engagement to a normal day.

Feeding & use

Spread a thin layer of your dog's favourite soft food across the surface — wet food, plain yogurt, xylitol-free peanut butter, or mashed banana all work well. For a longer session, freeze the loaded mat for 1–2 hours before offering it.

Always supervise your dog while they use it, and wash the mat with warm soapy water or on the top rack of the dishwasher after use.
