BuD'z - Scratch Paper With Catnip

TL;DR: The BuD'z - Scratch Paper With Catnip is a low-profile corrugated cardboard scratching pad that includes a sachet of catnip to encourage use. It's a compact horizontal scratcher for indoor cats and a handy add-on beside a litter box scratch post setup.

Cats scratch daily to stretch, shed claw sheaths and mark territory. The BuD'z - Scratch Paper With Catnip gives them a dedicated corrugated surface for that behaviour, paired with catnip to encourage consistent use.

Available in Small and Large sizes, so you can match the pad to your cat and your space.

Specifications

Who is it for?

It suits indoor cats of most ages who need a dedicated scratching outlet, and households looking to protect upholstery and carpets. The Small option is handy for apartments, while the Large works for bigger cats or high-traffic scratching zones.

It also pairs well with a vertical scratcher. If your cat prefers to stretch upright, consider adding a BuD'z - Scratch Box With Catnip, a BuD'z - Cactus Scratch Box, or a BuD'z - Aquatic Scratch Box so there is more than one surface to work on.

How do you set it up and use it?

Place the BuD'z - Scratch Paper With Catnip in a spot your cat already visits — near a sleeping area, doorway, or beside a litter box scratch post setup. Sprinkle a pinch of the included catnip on the corrugated surface to attract attention during the first few days.

Refresh with a small amount of catnip every week or two as needed. Flip or rotate the pad once one section becomes worn to extend its lifespan, and replace it when the cardboard no longer holds a claw.

Does it replace a cat tree or post?

A flat pad like this complements, rather than replaces, vertical scratchers. Most cats benefit from having both horizontal and vertical options so they can choose their preferred angle.
