BuD'z - Metal Stake With Cable

TL;DR: The BuD'z Metal Stake With Cable is a 15-foot outdoor tie-out kit with a spiral screw-in metal stake, rated for dogs up to 60 lbs (27 kg). It's a practical training control tool for supervised yard time, camping, or garden tethering.

This tie-out pairs a spiral metal stake with a 15-foot (4.5 m) cable, giving your dog room to move while staying anchored. The spiral design screws into grass or soft soil for a firmer hold than straight stakes.

For owners building out reliable train control systems at home, the setup is straightforward: screw in the stake, clip the cable to a harness or collar, and supervise.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This kit is designed for dog owners who need a dependable outdoor anchor for medium-sized dogs up to 60 lbs. It suits backyard use, camping trips, and garden time where a fenced area isn't available and supervision is possible.

It isn't suitable for dogs heavier than 60 lbs, strong pullers beyond that weight class, or hard, rocky ground where the spiral stake can't seat properly. This is purely an outdoor anchor and should never replace a fenced enclosure.

Feeding & use

Choose a spot with soft soil or grass and screw the stake in fully before clipping the cable to your dog's harness or collar. Always supervise your dog while tethered, and remove the tether indoors or at night.

Inspect the cable and stake regularly for wear, rust, or damage, and replace any compromised part. Check municipal bylaws in Ontario or your local region, as some areas restrict tethering practices.

How does it fit with other training gear?

For on-leash handling and structured walks, this stake works alongside a dedicated training collar to round out your training control setup.
