Ashario Pets - Reflective Breakaway Cat Collar - Large

TL;DR: The Ashario Pets Reflective Breakaway Cat Collar in Large is a lightweight nylon collar with a safety breakaway buckle and a reflective strip, built for larger or long-haired adult cats. It includes a small D-ring for ID tags and comes in 12 colour options.

Looking to buy collars and co that balance safety and everyday comfort? This collar focuses on two things that matter most for cats: a buckle that releases under pressure if snagged, and a reflective band that makes your cat easier to spot in low light.

What makes this collar safe for cats?

The breakaway buckle is designed to pop open when the collar catches on a branch, fence, or piece of furniture, reducing the risk of choking. The reflective strip picks up light from headlights, porch lights, or a flashlight, helping you locate your cat after dark.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This collar suits adult cats that need a roomier fit, including larger breeds and long-haired cats whose fur can make a standard collar feel tight. It is a practical pick for indoor-outdoor cats, and for indoor-only cats whose owners still want a safe way to carry an ID tag.

Feeding & use

Slip the collar around your cat's neck and adjust so you can comfortably fit two fingers between the collar and the fur. Check the fit every few weeks — especially on long-haired cats — and inspect the breakaway buckle periodically to confirm it still releases cleanly under pressure.

Which colour should I choose?

With 12 shades available, you can pick a colour that stands out against your cat's coat for daytime visibility, or go with Black or Red for a lower-profile look. Neon Green, Orange, and Yellow are among the easiest to see outdoors.
