Acana - Limited Ingredient Lamb & Apple Dry Dog Food

TL;DR: Acana Limited Ingredient Lamb & Apple Dry Dog Food is a grain-free kibble built around lamb as the sole animal protein, paired with apples, for adult dogs with sensitive stomachs or suspected food sensitivities. It comes in 4 lb, 12 lb, and 24 lb bags and contains no artificial ingredients.

Limited ingredient recipes work by reducing the number of variables in the bowl. This acana lamb apple dog food keeps the animal protein list to one — lamb — with apples contributing natural fibre.

What makes a limited ingredient recipe different?

Most kibble blends several proteins and starches together, which makes it hard to tell what your dog does and doesn't tolerate. Acana limited ingredient dog food strips the formula down to a single animal protein and a short supporting list.

The recipe is grain-free with no artificial ingredients, which is why many owners choose it when simplifying a diet or rotating away from more common proteins like chicken.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This acana lamb food is made for adult dogs with sensitive stomachs, dogs suspected of reacting to certain ingredients, or owners who simply want fewer components in the bowl.

Lamb is a frequent starting point for owners trialling a single-protein diet, and this recipe suits adult dogs across most breeds and sizes.

Feeding & use

Choose from 4 lb, 12 lb, or 24 lb bags. The 4 lb bag is a practical size for trialling the recipe; move up to 12 lb or 24 lb once you know it agrees with your dog.

Follow the feeding guide printed on the bag and adjust for your dog's weight, age, and activity level. Transition gradually over 7–10 days, mixing increasing amounts of the new food with the current one to give the digestive system time to adapt.
