This coffee is grown at high altitudes and on volcanic soil at the Java Jampit Estate. Java has been an important destination in the coffee trade for over 300 years with the introduction of arabica coffee to Indonesia. Established by the Dutch in the 18th century, the Java Jampit Estate coffee plantation is one of the most renowned and high-quality in Indonesia. Unlike most processing done in Indonesia, coffee from Jampit is fully washed, giving it a clean and balanced profile. Harvesting is done by hand, the wet method is used for cultivation, and the coffee is sun-dried. The beans are then hand-sorted, and any defects or broken beans are meticulously removed. This activity results in an incredibly consistent and reliable coffee with great character. We are delighted to offer you this premium Indonesian coffee!

Our single-origin Sumatra from Indonesia is a medium-dark roast, 10 on the Roast Scale and 49 on the Agtron Gourmet Scale established by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
