Open Farm - Front Range Red Meat & Ancient Grains RawMix Dry Dog Food

TL;DR: Open Farm Front Range RawMix is a grain-inclusive dry dog food that coats kibble with freeze-dried raw pieces, built around three red-meat proteins: beef, pork, and lamb. It's made for adult dogs whose owners want raw-style nutrition with the convenience of kibble.

This RawMix recipe layers freeze-dried raw pieces onto kibble, so every scoop delivers both the familiarity of dry food and the density of raw. Ancient grains — quinoa, millet, and chia — round out the carbohydrate base.

What makes this Open Farm red meat dog food different?

Three red-meat proteins — beef, pork, and lamb — form the base of the recipe, giving it a broader amino acid profile than a single-protein formula. The freeze-dried raw coating is blended directly with the kibble rather than fed separately, which simplifies feeding time.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This Open Farm red meat dog food suits adult dogs whose owners want the convenience of kibble paired with raw-style nutrition. Because dogs of all breeds thrive on varied protein, the triple-meat blend is a practical choice for households that like to rotate proteins.

If your household prefers a fully grain-free formula, consider Open Farm - Grain Free Front Range Red Meat RawMix Dry Dog Food instead. For a single-protein option, look at Open Farm - Grass-Fed Beef & Ancient Grains Dry Dog Food. For many owners who treat their dog like a member of the family — the "dog is human" mindset — a raw-coated bowl is an easy upgrade from plain kibble.

Feeding & use

Follow the feeding guide on the bag based on your dog's weight, age, and activity level. Transition gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts with the current food, and keep fresh water available at all times.

Store the bag sealed in a cool, dry place to protect the freeze-dried coating.

Which bag size should you choose?

Available in 3.5 lb and 20 lb bags. The smaller bag works well as a trial size or for small dogs, while the 20 lb bag offers better value for medium and large dogs or multi-dog homes.
