Specifications

Who is it for?

This Purina dog probiotic powder suits adult dogs whose owners want targeted digestive support — during a diet change, after a stressful event, or as a daily habit for dogs prone to loose stools. If you're comparing probiotics for dogs in Canada, the Pro Plan FortiFlora probiotic is among the most widely recommended options by veterinary professionals.

It's a single-species product, so keep it for the dogs in the household. Cat owners can look at Purina - Pro Plan FortiFlora Probiotic Cat Supplement, or Purina - Pro Plan Calming Care Probiotic Cat Supplement for stress-related digestive support in cats.

Feeding & use

Open one sachet and sprinkle the full contents over your dog's food once daily, or follow your veterinarian's guidance. Mixing with wet food — or lightly moistening dry kibble — helps the powder stick rather than settle at the bottom of the bowl.

Store unused sachets sealed in a cool, dry place. Because each sachet is pre-measured, there's no scooping and no partial doses to track.

How does it compare to a chew?

Pro Plan FortiFlora for dogs is a powder, which works well for dogs who eat wet food or who spit out chews. If your dog prefers a treat-style format, compare it with Open Farm - Probiotic Chew Supplements For Dogs. Speak with your veterinarian before layering multiple supplements, particularly for dogs with existing health conditions.
