Purina - Pro Plan Calming Care Probiotic Cat Supplement

TL;DR: Purina Pro Plan Calming Care is a daily probiotic supplement for adult cats, featuring the BL999 strain to help cats maintain calm behaviour during external stressors. It's designed for owners who want a food-based behavioural support option developed with veterinarians.

Calming Care is part of Purina's Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements line, developed with input from Purina pet nutrition experts, researchers, and veterinarians. The formula uses a specific probiotic strain, BL999, selected for its role in supporting calm behaviour in cats.

If you want to buy supplements online for a cat that gets anxious during routine changes, vet visits, or household disruptions, this is one of the more widely recognized probiotic options in the category.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This supplement is aimed at adult cats that show signs of stress or anxious behaviour during everyday disruptions — moving homes, new pets or people in the household, travel, or boarding. It's a reasonable choice for owners who want a daily, food-based approach rather than a situational product.

It is not a replacement for veterinary care. If your cat has sudden behavioural changes, speak with your veterinarian first.

Feeding & use

Follow the dosing directions on the product packaging, typically one sachet per day mixed into your cat's regular food. Purina recommends daily use for at least six weeks to see the intended behavioural support, and continuing daily use for ongoing benefit.

Introduce it alongside your cat's normal diet — no diet change is required. Store sachets in a cool, dry place.
