Orijen - Original Freeze Dried Dog Treats

TL;DR: Orijen Original Freeze Dried Dog Treats are protein-forward rewards made with chicken and turkey, freeze-dried to preserve flavour and aroma. At roughly 5 calories per treat in a 92 g resealable bag, these orijen chicken treats suit training and everyday rewarding for adult dogs of most sizes.

These treats pack raw animal protein into bite-sized pieces with a strong aroma dogs respond to quickly. The freeze-drying approach keeps the taste without grains, glycerin, or artificial preservatives.

What makes these treats different?

Unlike baked biscuits, these treats are freeze-dried rather than cooked at high heat, which helps retain the natural aroma and nutrients of the chicken and turkey. The result is a light, crunchy texture that works well when you need focus during training.

Who is it for?

This orijen chicken dog food treat suits owners who want a simple, protein-forward reward without grains or fillers. The small size and low calorie count make it a practical pick for adult dogs learning new cues, dogs in regular training, and those on calorie-controlled routines.

Because chicken and turkey are the featured proteins, these are not an orijen chicken free dog food option — if you need a poultry-free reward, choose a different protein profile.

Feeding & use

Use as a treat or training reward alongside your dog's regular diet. Treats should not replace a complete meal — keep total daily treats to roughly 10% of your dog's calorie intake, and always provide fresh water.

For small dogs, break treats in half to stretch a training session further. Reseal the bag after each use to preserve freshness. Freeze-dried treats are shelf-stable when sealed, so there's no need to refrigerate before opening.
