Natural Balance - Limited Ingredient Diet Sweet Potato & Venison Dry Dog Food

TL;DR: Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet Sweet Potato & Venison is a dry dog food built around venison as a single novel animal protein, with sweet potato as the primary carbohydrate. It's formulated for adult dogs whose owners want a simpler, hypoallergenic recipe to help manage suspected food sensitivities.

This formula keeps the ingredient list short on purpose, which makes it easier to manage suspected food triggers. Venison acts as the novel protein, while sweet potato provides a digestible carbohydrate source.

Who is it for?

This formula is intended for adult dogs whose owners suspect sensitivities to more common proteins like chicken or beef. Because venison is a novel protein for most dogs, it's often chosen as part of a simplified diet to help narrow down what a dog tolerates well.

It's also a reasonable pick for adult dogs with itchy skin or a dull coat, where a simpler recipe with added omega fatty acids may help support coat condition.

Feeding & use

Follow the feeding guide printed on the bag, adjusting to your dog's weight, age, and activity level. Choose from the 4 lb or 22 lb size depending on your household needs.

Transition gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts of the new food with your current food, and keep fresh water available at all times.

If you're narrowing down a food sensitivity, feed this formula exclusively (no other treats or table scraps) for the window recommended by your veterinarian.
