Farmina - Pumpkin Boar & Apple Adult Mini Dry Dog Food

TL;DR: Farmina Pumpkin Boar & Apple Adult Mini is a small-breed dog dry food built around boar, pumpkin, apple, and ancient grains like spelt and oats. It's a practical pick for adult small dogs whose owners want a novel-protein recipe without artificial additives.

This recipe pairs boar with apple and pumpkin for a flavourful, fibre-forward meal in a mini kibble size. It avoids poultry and beef as primary proteins, making it a useful rotation option for picky eaters or dogs sensitive to common proteins.

This Farmina recipe uses ancient grains (spelt and oats) rather than being fully grain-free, so it suits owners who prefer wholesome grains over legume-heavy formulas. As a small-breed dog dry food, the mini kibble is sized for easier chewing.

What are the key features?

• Boar as a novel protein — a flavourful alternative for dogs sensitive to common proteins.
• Apple and pumpkin — natural sources of fibre that support digestion.
• Ancient grains — spelt and oats for slow-release energy.
• Mini kibble — sized for smaller mouths and easier chewing.
• No artificial additives — GMO-free, no by-products, naturally preserved.
• Two bag sizes — available in 5.5 lb and 15.4 lb.

Specifications

Available in two sizes: choose 5.5 lb to trial the recipe or 15.4 lb for ongoing feeding.

Who is it for?

Adult small-breed dogs who do well on a novel protein and benefit from a smaller kibble. It's a sensible choice for households rotating away from chicken or beef, and for owners who prefer wholesome grains over legume-heavy recipes.

Not intended for puppies or large-breed dogs. For bigger dogs, see the Farmina - Pumpkin Boar & Apple Medium & Maxi Dry Dog Food.

How should you feed it?

Follow Farmina's feeding chart on the bag, which scales daily portions by your dog's weight and activity level. Transition gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts of the new food with the current food, and keep fresh water available at all times.

Store in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after each use to preserve freshness. Active small dogs may need slightly higher portions — adjust based on body condition.

Want to rotate proteins?

If you'd like to vary your dog's menu, the Farmina - Pumpkin Lamb & Blueberry Adult Mini Dry Dog Food and the Farmina - Pumpkin Venison & Apple Adult Mini Dry Dog Food offer the same mini-kibble format with different proteins. This Farmina boar and apple dog food fits naturally into a rotation plan.

Grooming small breeds is easier with the right tools — a boar bristle brush helps distribute natural oils through a short coat between baths.
