Farmina - Ancestral Grain Chicken & Pomegranate Neutered Dry Cat Food

TL;DR: Farmina Ancestral Grain Chicken & Pomegranate Neutered Dry Cat Food is a dry kibble formulated for spayed and neutered adult cats. It uses chicken as the primary protein with pomegranate as a featured botanical, and is built around healthy weight and urinary wellness. Available in 3.3 lb and 11 lb bags.

Neutered cats generally need fewer daily calories and carry a higher risk of urinary issues, so the everyday diet matters more than it does for an intact adult. This recipe targets those two priorities while keeping chicken front and centre.

What makes this formula different?

The Ancestral Grain line is built on a low-glycaemic carbohydrate base rather than a fully grain-free profile, which can suit cats that do better with measured, slow-release energy. Pomegranate is included as an antioxidant-source botanical alongside the chicken protein.

The recipe is made without GMOs and without by-products.

Key features

• Sterilization-specific recipe — supports healthy weight and lean muscle in neutered cats
• Urinary-aware formulation — supports urinary tract health
• Chicken as the primary protein — paired with pomegranate as an antioxidant source
• Ancestral grain base — low-glycaemic carbohydrate profile
• No GMOs, no by-products

Specifications

The 3.3 lb bag works well for a trial or a single-cat household; the 11 lb bag is the better value once the food is part of a regular rotation.

Who is it for?

This kibble is made for adult cats that have been spayed or neutered and need calories kept in check without cutting back on protein. It suits indoor cats prone to gradual weight gain, and owners looking for a urinary-aware chicken-and-pomegranate option.

Feeding & use

The correct cat dry food amount per day depends on your cat's weight, activity level, and body condition — follow the feeding guide printed on the bag and adjust from there. Weighing portions with a kitchen scale is more accurate than free-pouring, which matters most for neutered cats on a fixed calorie budget.

Transition gradually over about 7 days, mixing increasing amounts of Farmina Ancestral Grain Chicken & Pomegranate Neutered Dry Cat Food with the current diet. Keep fresh water available at all times, and store the bag sealed in a cool, dry place to preserve freshness and aroma.

Should you feed dry, wet, or both?

The cat dry food vs wet food question usually comes down to hydration and convenience: dry kibble is easy to portion and store, while wet food adds moisture to the daily intake. Many owners of neutered cats feed this kibble as the base diet and top up with wet food for extra water intake.
