Ashario Pets - "StrideAssist" Walking Assist Strap - L

TL;DR: The Ashario Pets StrideAssist Walking Assist Strap (Large) is a padded, adjustable support sling for senior or mobility-challenged large-breed dogs. It lets you gently lift your dog's rear hips during walks, stair climbs, or post-surgery recovery without straining either of you.

A walking assist strap is one of the most practical dog accessories for households with an aging or recovering dog. The StrideAssist Large is built for bigger dogs whose back legs no longer carry full weight comfortably.

What is a dog walking assist strap?

It's a padded sling that sits under your dog's abdomen or hindquarters, with sturdy handles you hold from above. Lifting shifts weight off sore hips or healing legs, so your dog can walk without slipping or collapsing.

Specifications

Who is it for?

Large-breed senior dogs losing strength in their hips or rear legs, dogs recovering from surgery or injury, and dogs with mobility challenges who need a steady assist on walks. The Large size is designed to fit most large breeds comfortably around the abdomen and hindquarters.

Feeding & use

Wrap the padded belt under your dog's abdomen or rear hips and fasten the adjustable straps snugly — not tight. Hold the handles at a comfortable height so your dog's paws still reach the ground, and use your legs, not your back, to share the load.

The strap suits short walks, stair climbs, ramp transitions, and getting in and out of the car. Introduce it gradually so your dog gets used to the feel before longer outings.
