Ashario Pets - Quick Release Adjustable Prong Dog Collar With Buckle - Black

TL;DR: The Ashario Pets Quick Release Adjustable Prong Dog Collar in black is a steel training collar with blunted prong tips and a quick-release buckle, built for controlled leash work with strong-pulling adult dogs. It comes in four sizes — Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large — for experienced owners and trainers.

This collar pairs a fast-release buckle with rounded prong tips that distribute even pressure around the neck during corrections. The black steel links are made to hold up to regular training sessions, making it a practical pick among our dog supplies online.

Specifications

Available in Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large to match your dog's neck circumference.

Who is it for?

This collar is intended for adult dogs that pull hard on leash or are learning structured loose-leash walking. It is best suited to experienced handlers and trainers who already understand prong-collar fitting.

It is not recommended for puppies, toy breeds, or dogs with neck or trachea sensitivities. As with any training tool, suitability varies across dog breeds, so match the collar to your dog's size and temperament.

Feeding & use

Position the collar high on the neck, just behind the ears and under the jaw — not low on the throat. It should sit snug enough that the prongs make light contact all the way around, with no sagging; add or remove links to fine-tune the fit.

Use the quick-release buckle to put the collar on for training sessions only, rather than leaving it on all day. Pair it with a standard flat collar carrying ID tags, and introduce corrections gently as part of a consistent training plan.

What size should you choose?

The collar is available in four sizes to match your dog's neck circumference. If your dog sits between two sizes, the larger size with extra links removed is usually the safer choice.
